Venue and Destination
The Symposium will be held in the new Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool, recently built on the King's Waterfront. The venue has opened in January 2008, just as Liverpool became European Capital of Culture for one year.

The closest airport is Liverpool John Lennon Airport, only 8 miles away from the city centre (20-25 min by taxi, 35-40 min by bus). You can also fly to Manchester Airport, which is 37 miles away (approx. 50 min by taxi or 1h10min by train).
National Rail Network trains arrive and depart from Liverpool Lime Street Station, which is a 15-min walk from the venue or a short taxi ride.
