Galaxies are the building blocks of the universe. To understand how galaxies form and evolve, I study the chemical compositions and ages of their stars. In particular I study star clusters, both within our own Galaxy and in nearby galaxies.
I am PI of the WAGGS project, a integral field spectroscopy survey of globular clusters in the Milky Way and its satellite galaxies. I am a member of the SLUGGS Survey of early-type galaxies and their globular cluster systems and I am part of the SAGES network of researchers.
