STFC Ernest Rutherford Research Fellowships 2014
The 2014 round of Ernest Rutherford Fellowships has been announced by the Science and Technology Research Council (STFC), see:here.
These are fully funded five-year research fellowships to be held in science areas supported by STFC. If you are interested in applying for one of these to be hosted by the Astrophysics Research Institute at Liverpool John Moores University you can find more details about our research at: http://www.astro.ljmu.ac.uk/research
The STFC deadline for ER Fellowships is 25th September 2014, but to conform with necessary processes, candidates must submit their applications to the ARI by Monday 1st September. We encourage excellent potential applicants to contact the ARI as soon as possible for informal discussions. We intend to make a final decision on which applications we will support no later than Friday 5th September. If you wish to apply please send a draft research proposal following STFC’s guidelines for ER Fellowships, a CV and list of publications to: Chris Collins (Acting Director) and Nate Bastian (Head of Research) by Monday 1st September please.
Additionally, the deadline for the Royal Society University Research Fellowship is Sept. 11th, 2014 link. These are also prestigious fully funded five (+3) year fellowships. While there are no official quotas, but please contact a member of staff at ARI if you are interested in applying, no later than Sept. 1st, 2014.
